Team Changes Are On The Way

The team for this Saturday's 1st XI against Wollaton 3rd XI sees many changes from last Saturday's game.  There are 7 different players.  The four players appearing in both games will be Adam and Joshua James, Ethan Riddle and Gopi Duggirala.

Anything like this gets me thinking and wanting to know how unusual it may be.

Looking at changes to the 1st XI going back to 2016 the most changes seen between games has been 6 with this being on only one occasion.  These were the games in August 2023 against Chilwell and then Southwell.

Even when comparing the first game of a season with the last game of the previous season (where a large number of new arrivals and departures take place) there have been none exceeding the 7 changes being made this week.

Credit to all three Saturday captains; the work they've put in to put their teams together has been massive.

A team change can mean you end up with a new mate.
